Lupercales Collective

Lupercales Collective is a group of lighting designers and photographers focused on perception-driven lighting design in urban areas. Their work emphasizes community engagement and temporary lighting interventions that highlight the potential of public spaces. They aim to raise awareness about lighting’s impact on urban environments and collaborate with designers, architects, and citizens through workshops. Their projects focus on transforming ephemeral lighting installations into lasting concepts that can inspire long-term urban design changes.

For Lupercales Collective’s new branding and website, the goal was to reflect their transformative use of light. With stunning photography as the focal point, the design aimed to create a unique experience, blending horizontal and vertical scrolling to allow users to explore their projects visually. Conceptual information is kept just a click away, ensuring an emotional and immersive connection through the photography. This approach emphasizes both the artistic and practical sides of their light-based urban interventions.

Regarding the brand identity, the logo design for Lupercales Collective emulates the aesthetic of neon lights, featuring a single continuous stroke for each character. This mirrors their use of light as a transformative urban tool, giving the logo a modern, dynamic edge. The corporate color reflects the light tones they frequently use in their installations. Paired with the bold tagline, which emphasizes strategic lighting design, the combination creates a powerful visual identity that reflects the collective’s creative impact on urban spaces.
