The Fundació Mona is a nonprofit organization based in Catalonia, Spain, focused on rescuing and rehabilitating primates from illegal captivity and inappropriate conditions. The foundation emphasizes public education about primate conservation and the issues surrounding illegal wildlife trade, conducting outreach programs to raise awareness. By purchasing the first charitable wine produced by the foundation, consumers directly support these vital rescue operations and educational initiatives.

The packaging design for this charitable wine, called «Edició Primat», is both creative and functional. It features a two-faced print: the outer side showcases wine characteristics with a colorful geometric graphic of a banana leaf, capturing attention and reflecting the natural habitat of primates. Upon unwrapping, consumers discover the wine bottle adorned with a simple yet bold logo that resembles a primate’s fingerprint, symbolizing the individuality and uniqueness of each animal that the foundation works to protect.

The inside of the wrapping paper contains information about the Fundació Mona and its mission, offering an informative and engaging experience. This design not only educates consumers but also enhances their connection to the cause. Additionally, the wrapping paper is cost-effective for the foundation, being inexpensive to produce and easy to store, allowing for efficient on-demand wrapping as the wine is sold. This straightforward yet impactful packaging effectively highlights the essence of Edició Primat while fostering a deeper connection to wildlife conservation and the Fundació Mona’s mission.
